Happy New Year from LGBA

Lesbian and Gay Band Association (LGBA) wishes your and yours a very Happy New Year!

Start planning now to attend the LGBA Conference, "Deliciously Wicked," October 28 - November 2, 2008, in New York City. You can register at http://www.lgba2008.com. Our host, the Lesbian and Gay Big Apple Corps has arranged for us to march in the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade, and has planned fabulous programs for us.

As your bands elect new officers and plan your calendars for 2008, please send that information to the LGBA Secretary, Laura Whitbeck, secretary@mylgba.com. This information can be included in the LGBA roster (available at http://groups.yahoo.com/lgba in the Files section), and in the Upcoming Member Bands performance section of the LGBA Website.

Formed in the Spring of 2007 by Jana Fry and Pam Wolfe (formerly of D.C.'s Different Drummers), the band joined LGBA during the St. Louis conference in October. The band marched through Waikiki in the Gay Pride Parade, performed at the grand opening of two supermarkets, and played on a float in the Kaneohe Christmas Parade. Aloha!
